According to Wendy Williams, Rihanna will not reach legend status as an artist—even though the “Work” singer has recently surpassed legends like Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey on the Hot 100 singles chart, with 14 number one singles.
The talk show host compared Rihanna to Beyoncé, saying: “Beyoncé will do her residency in Vegas at 55 years old and you will go see her,” implying Rihanna’s having a good run right now but she’ll never reach icon status, despite her many milestones.
