DALLAS, TX (February 29, 2016) – The Isaiah Austin Foundation announced today a partnership with Habitat for Humanity to build the first Dream Again Home in Waco, TX. The Dream Again Home will be allocated for a family who has had a medical and financial hardship and is in need of affordable housing.

“Habitat for Humanity does so much more than just provide a place for people to call home. It provides them with the opportunity to Dream Again,” said Isaiah Austin. “I am really excited about the opportunity to build the Dream Again Home through a partnership between my Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.”

Habitat for Humanity, is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1976. Their mission is to build simple, decent, and affordable homes while addressing the issues of poverty housing throughout the world. “As we build houses we are also helping build our community,” Waco Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Brenda Shuttlesworth said. “The fact that Isaiah wanted to build this first Dream Again Home in Waco shows his tremendous heart and love for our community.”

In addition to providing funding for the construction, the Isaiah Austin Foundation will help coordinate volunteers to build the home. The Foundation plans to host several fundraising events to help raise funds and awareness for the new Dream Again Home.
