For the past few years, southern California based label Top Dawg Entertainment or TDE, has been one of the premier imprints in Hip Hop. Home to Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, collectively known as Black Hippy, they have grown from underground favorites to global stars. Monday evening (February 29), the company’s CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith shared a photo on his Instagram page, forecasting the label’s upcoming releases for 2016.
According to the photo, each member of Black Hippy will be releasing a solo project, along with label mates SZA and Isaiah Rashad. The flick also shows that there are two new artists signed under the TDE banner. The biggest news though is at the end, where it appears that a long awaited Black Hippy album might be in the works.
