Earlier this year, 2 Chainz announced that he had several projects in the chamber, one of them being a collaborative album with Lil Wayne titled Collegrove. The announcement immediately excited scores of rap fans, who have enjoyed several Tity Boi and Weezy collabs over the years, including “Yuck” on 2 Chainz’ debut album, B.O.A.T.S., “Rich As F*ck” on Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being 2, and their most recent effort, “Back On My Bullsh*t,” which appeared on Chainz’s Felt Like Cappin EP, which dropped just a few weeks ago.
Today, Kanye West, who made Chainz an honorary member of G.O.O.D. Music in 2012, and is an avid supporter of Lil Wayne, revealed the official artwork to Collegrove on Twitter, which was likely put together by his creative agency, DONDA, which has designed solo albums for both Wayne and Chainz in the past. West also revealed that the project would drop this Friday, but didn’t specify through which medium it would drop. Considering Lil Wayne recently signed on to be a co-owner of TIDAL, we could be looking at another T.L.O.P. situation.
