It has been a rather busy week in the NFL with re-signings, releases and more. Most notably was the Baltimore Ravens signing their quarterback Joe Flacco to a new contract that will average $21.1 million for the next 6 years along with a $40 million signing bonus.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed Sam Bradford, who has been riddled with injuries throughout his career and the Washington Redskins placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on QB Kirk Cousins, which will net him $19.95 in 2016 if a new is not reached. Speaking with the media in regards to giving Flacco a new contract, Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome made light of other franchises having problems at the quarterback position but they have had success with Joe.
Philly signing [Sam] Bradford and Washington having to put the franchise tag on [Kirk] Cousins [are examples]. They don’t have the résumé that Joe has, and for us to be moving forward with a guy that has eight years and won a Super Bowl and been in three AFC Championship Games, it speaks volumes.
Whomever is handling the Ravens social media account took it upon themselves to highlight Newsome’s statement regarding other QBs.

For their part, the Redkskins Twitter account didn’t take this lying down and incorporated a meme of Bob The Builder for good measure.
