Debates regarding who is currently the best player in the NBA, Steph Curry or LeBron James, can go on for days, but what is certain is that James is still the most influential hoop star off the court. Turns out, King James used some of his influence to sway TDE C.E.O. Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith to release the surprise album, untitled unmastered, that Kendrick Lamar unveiled last night.
Following Kendrick’s phenomenal Grammy performance, James took to his Twitter account and pleaded with Tiffith to release “those untitled tracks asap!!!.” Top Dawg told James that he would take a few days to think things over and shortly before the album’s release, he shared a clip on Instagram telling fans to thank King James for this.
Yo @dangerookipawaa after that @kendricklamar Grammy performance , you have to release those untitled tracks asap!!! What’s up? Talk to me
