In a surprising upset, underdog Miesha Tate defeated champion Holly Holm by puting her in a submission chokehold to take the Bantamweight crown that Holm just won late last year by upseting Ronda Rousey.
Tate captured Holm with a rear-naked choke in the fifth round at UFC 196 on Saturday to claim the title Holm took from Ronda Rousey in November. It was the first loss of Holm’s MMA career.
