NBC News is reporting that knowledgable sources have confirmed that Ben Carson will endorse Donald Trump for the 2016 Presidential Election.
Carson officially dropped out of the race this past Friday after losing badly to both Trump and Ted Cruz in recent primaries and caucuses. He released a statement saying he saw “no path forward” to the nomination, a disappointing end to a campaign that initially had him neck and neck with Trump, and the then-long shot Cruz.
According to the source, Carson sees Trump as an “outsider” and “authentic,” making him the most viable candidate for the Republican ticket. This news comes in spite of previous incidents where Trump verbally attacked Carson and his campaign; it should be noted that those attacks didn’t last long, for once Carson began to lose steam, Trump let up.
