According to E! News, evidence shows Everette Silas and Sherri Littleton introduced the idea of a show called Off Season to Johnson and Wahlberg back in 2008. However, by the end of 2009 the show sadly fell apart when they were refused a “created by” credit.

Once Ballers aired later on, Silas and Littleton found 27 similarities within their claim resulting in the current dispute. They want the credit they deserve, and the borrowed material has been documented from the aesthetics, appearance of characters, as well as plots, scenes, and overall story line.
