Any serious bracketeer knows about the “12/5” rule in college basketball, which says that more often than not, a 12-seed will beat a 5-seed in the first round of the tournament. This year, college basketball experts expected that to be Yale, who squared off against 5th-seeded Baylor this afternoon. And it was. Just a few short minutes ago the buzzer sounded, and Yale pulled off the 79-75 victory, giving it its first-ever Divison 1 tournament victory.

That’s right, this is the first March Madness victory in the history of Yale University. They’ll try to continue their Cinderella story in the Round of 32, where they’ll face of against the 4th-seeded Duke Blue Devils. Can they pull off another upset? Or will Duke, despite not being as strong as it’s used to being, still dominate in March? We’ll know for sure on Saturday.
