On Friday [March 18], Iggy Azalea dropped a brand new single titled “Team,” paying homage to her loyal Azaleans. New music, however, wasn’t the only thing she dropped. During an interview on KISS-FM’s On Air With Ryan Seacrest show, the artist revealed she and L.A. Lakers boyfriend, Nick Young, had postponed their wedding plans.
The two got engaged back in June of 2015, but have reportedly put plans for a 2016 wedding on ice. Azalea explained while she already has her wedding gown, as well as their honeymoon mapped out, the two have postponed their wedding due to Azalea preparing to go on tour at the end of the year.
“It was going to happen at the end of the year, but now I have to go to work, so we’ll probably have to wait until the end of the next basketball season to do that,” Azalea said. “So that kind of is a bit sucky, but it’s alright.”
In the same interview, she goes on to say that the wedding will take place in 2017 after Young’s season is over. Despite the pair having to put wedding plans off because of work, Azalea maintains all is well and Young is extremely supportive. She playfully adds,“He’s like, ‘I can be a bachelor for longer,’ and he’s really milking it.”
