A Black man caught on camera sucker-punching and stomping on an anti-Trump protestor has been identified as Staff Sgt. Tom Pettway, a force response leader assigned to Davis-Monthan Air Force base.
It was Saturday [March 19, 2016] at a Donald Trump rally’s in Arizona, that the protester, Bryan Sanders was attacked while being escorted out by police while holding up a photo of Trump with the confederate flag over it, while another protester, his friend, wore a sheet resembling the headgear of the Ku Klux Klan.
“There’s a disgusting guy. Puts a Ku Klux Klan hat on. Thinks he’s cute. He’s a disgusting guy,” Trump said as the two men were escorted out. “I’m going to tell you folks, that’s a disgrace. They are taking away our First Amendment rights.”
Pettway, 32, was arrested and has since been charged with a misdemeanor for assault.

In an interview with the Arizona Daily Star, Sanders explained why he chose to protest the Trump rally, explaining that he’s not politically aligned with one party, but strongly opposes the values of Donald Trump.
“I’m not a Republican. I’m not a Democrat. I was protesting Trump’s fascism, his racism, his lies and his women-hating.”
