President Barack Obama is currently in Cuba with his family and advisors, after making his historic landing on Sunday evening in Havana, and thanks to Chief Official White House photographer Pete Souza, we have an idea of what he’s been up to. In the three days since arriving, Obama has met with Raul Castro, taken an iconic photo in front of a Che Guevara mural and met and spoken with Cuban citizens.

Understandably, there are certain places in the country where the language barrier will prove to be an obstacle, so it’s a good thing POTUS’ daughter, Malia Obama, made the trip. According to this Instagram post by Souza, Malia served as a translator for her dad in the following photo, which depicts the prez. having a conversation with a Cuban chef in Old Havana.
