One of the stellar names on the Grime circuit at present, Rude Kid is a name not many people know but assuredly he’s becoming one of the producing greats ever to grace the art form.

After producing the monumental “One Take” only recently, the track has taken the underground by storm with remixes from heavyweights Jammer, Chip, Yungen, Flowdan and of course the don Stormzy whose version hit dizzying heights.

The producer doesn’t want to rest on his laurels and has chosen to release his next track in homage to the godfather of Grime, titled “Wiley Kat” (the original name of Wiley during his pioneering Eskimo white label series). That bouncy pounding bass and 140bmp rapid tempo makes for a track of pure indulgence.

The producer states, “I named this tune after the godfather of grime, Wiley, because when I was making it I was picturing him MCing over the tune, I think he was the first person I showed it to when it was done and I was flattered that he loved it. It’s the perfect tune for my DJ sets.”

The instrumental comes off the forthcoming EP Noah’s Ark (released on March 25), which has been heralded for its originality yet also its respect of the classic fundamentals of Grime.
