It’s been a couple of years since we officially heard from Freeway. In 2014 we saw him release Highway Robbery with the late The Jacka, and Broken Ankles with Girl Talk, and his last solo studio album was in 2012 with Diamond In The Ruff.
Still, there’s nothing like a new joint from one of Philadelphia’s all-time great rappers, and Free’s celebrating the warm weather with some heat, “Hot As Ice,” his newest single. For those that thought Free had lost a step, think again. He steps up to the plate on “Hot As Ice” and hits each down note and snare with renewed vigor, meaning this Free Will album we’re about to get will be one to look out for.
Free Will drops on April 29, and features guest appearances from Young Buck and Raheem Devaughn.
