During a recent interview on the Rap Radar podcast, rapper Noreaga divulged that Michael Jordan once said he “hates” rap–specifically, N.O.R.E. said that Jordan refused to speak with any rapper not named Jay Z at a Def Jam party once and said “f*ck rap”–and Jordan’s team immediately vehemently denied those claims. In fact, they went so far as to say that Michael Jordan was never even at the party Noreaga referenced (a Christmas Def Jam party hosted by  Mariah Carey), and is a “fan of all music.”
However, it looks like N.O.R.E.’s claims might still have some juice. The New York native did some quick research, and pulled up a Getty Images picture of Jordan standing right behind Jay Z at Mariah Carey‘s Charm Bracelet release party in December 2002. So much for Jordan never being there.
