The 1992 Olympic Dream Team is widely considered to be the greatest collective of basketball players to ever compete. Consisting of Karl Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and of course Michael Jordan, the team virtually obliterated all of their opponents in Barcelona that year en route to a Gold Medal. One of the lasting remnants of that era were the Olympic Air Jordan VIIs, which have been reissued periodically.

Today, ESPN’s Darren Rovell revealed that Goldin Auctions’ next listing item will be a pair of game-worn sneakers will be up for auction.

At this time, there aren’t anymore details available but another pair worn by Jordan during the ’92 Olympic games sold at $2,115. With only so few of these game-worn Olympic kicks in existence from such a historic period, one can only assume that the price is bound to rise. With that said, another reissue of the Olympic VIIs, the “Tinker Alternate” is slated to be released in August of 2016.
