For all the talk about Warriors point guard Stephen Curry not being human, it’s worth noting that Russell Westbrook is also so ridiculous, his humanity gets called into question. He’s already being talked about as one of the most athletic point guards of all-time–if not the most athletic–and his recent string of triple-doubles speaks to that.
Though his fellow superstar, Kevin Durant, is having a career year, a lot of eyes are on Westbrook’s ability to rack up triple-doubles, which are often reserved for strong forwards that can easily get the 10 rebounds necessary. However, Westbrook today finds himself in rare air after last night’s 26/11/12 performance in Toronto. He’s tied Michael Jordan–yes, the Michael Jordan–for the most triple-doubles in a calendar month with 7, and Westbrook has one shot on the final day of the month to break Jordan’s record when the Thunder host the Clippers.
