Back in 2014, Lil Wayne shared that he had started Young Money Sports and the talk at the time was that his first client would be soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The news came on the heels of Jay Z’s massive success with Roc Nation Sports, and Wayne seemed poised to be another Carter taking the sports world by storm. Things seemed to fall apart as no talks progressed and Young Money Sports was never heard from again, until today.
Lil Wayne took to his Instagram account earlier and revealed that the company has signed Florida State Seminoles linebacker Reggie Northrup as their first client. Wayne’s manager, Cortez Bryant was also on his Instagram, sharing that he was in Tallahassee, FL for Northrup’s pro day.
