Chance The Rapper was an integral part of the creation of Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo album, and apparently forced Kanye to delay the release of the album to include the Chris Brown collaboration “Waves.” Furthermore, Chance is one of the guest features on the album’s introductory track, “Ultralight Beam,” which also features Kirk Franklin and Kelly Price. The verse, easily one of the best of the year, wowed the crowd at Saturday Night Live the night before the album was released, and is certainly one of Chance’s best and most high profile works of late.
Last night at a show in North Carolina, Chance performed his verse on the song without much backing, with the exception of the crowd, which seemed to know every single word to the verse, and loudly disobeyed the “This is my part nobody else speak” lyric, making for a pretty frenzied moment.
