NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager made his return to the sideline last night [Tuesday, March 29] as the Warriors tipped off against the Wizards. Sager is suffering from a very long battle with leukemia that has kept him sidelined and in the hospital. He’s renown for his flashy suits and eye-catching attire and yesterday he didn’t let us down. Sager wore a ‘Golden Gate Bridge’ orange jacket with a lurid tie, in addition to a custom pair of NikeID KD 7’s with snakeskin print. Placed on the tongue of the shoe you can read ‘Mr Fly Suits’ across both pairs.
The world drew inspiration from Sager returning back to the sidelines, and a #SagerStrong hashtag on Twitter emerged where people posted images of their freshest suits and kicks to raise awareness for leukemia.
The custom kicks were given to Sager by Nike last March after he announced his feet were swelling up because of his cancer treatment.
