From Interview magazine:

“I’m usually the one who creates most of my work. I have a lot of different ideas that I want to do, so I’m always like, ‘Get on it girl.'”

When you land your first big role at nine alongside Hollywood legends like Queen Latifah, you set a high bar for your career. Currently, race relations in Hollywood are being put under the microscope for unfair casting practices. However, Palmer is defying the odds and landing roles actors of any race would die for. So what does a Hollywood outlier do in her spare time? Write books.

I Don’t Belong To You, Palmer’s first novel is also in the works. Palmer seems as if she has the confidence and will to do it all, but it didn’t come easy. “I became very objective and analytical of myself early on and I find myself doing that in everything. It works good in my work, but sometimes it can be annoying, I imagine, to people in my life.”

All in all, Keke Palmer is becoming a household name in Hollywood. The singer is set to hit the big screen again this year for a reboot of Scream Queens. Also, her singing career is set to take off in the fall. Keke Palmer is on the rise and is using all of her talents on the way. For more on her music check out “Enemiez” below.
