The D.C. rapper shot the video at revered musician Fela Kuti‘s former establishment. Rocking huge smiles and exuding positive energy, Wale spreads good vibes with the people of Nigeria. The video is as upbeat and positive as its lyrics. “The God Smile” comes one year after Wale released his third Seinfeld-influenced project, The Album About Nothing.

At 21, played running back
24 I had the city mad
Slim Charles in the Y now
You could say me and him brought the city back

We can expect more music from Wale soon. S.H.I.N.E. is set to be released this year, along with another untitled project. S.H.I.N.E. is Wale’s fifth studio album and will be released under Maybach Music Group.
