Porn star Amber Rayne has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 31. She is believed to have died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles either Saturday night [April 2] or Sunday morning [April 3].
Amber’s cause of death is still unknown at this time. In 2013, Amber revealed she had been fighting uterine cancer and undergoing “relentless” chemotherapy. It is unclear whether complications with the cancer contributed to Amber’s passing or not.
Amber worked in the porn industry for over 10 years. She was one of eight female performers who accused fellow performer James Deen of sexual assault. She said that, while true, the allegations were hard to bring forward, as the incident occurred much earlier in her career and she had become friends with Deen since. He has denied all allegations.
Director Stormy Daniels told AVN: “She was a really good friend, and one of the best actresses and performers that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, and I’m just glad that I had the opportunity to work with her and call her a friend.”
