Songbird Chrisette Michele stopped by the Windy City to host a listening party for fans last week. She was celebrating both the release of her latest project, Milestone, featuring first single “Steady,” and her March 2016 Ebony magazine Body Brigade cover, a celebratory cover featuring the 33-year-old, Jazmine Sullivan, Gabi Fresh and Orange is the New Black actress Danielle Brooks.

Hosted by Chi City’s west side nightclub Society and Remy Martin, the Rich Hipster creator autographed dozens of magazines as her fiancé Doug Ellison took to the DJ booth.

The “Epiphany” singer was also in town for a two-day production of Je’Caryous Johnson’s “Married but Single” stage play, where she stars alongside LisaRaye McCoy, Hollywood veteran Clifton Powell and Carl Payne (Martin), who also made an appearance at her event.
