Kobe Bryant‘s farewell tour wasn’t all 60 point games and star-studded home games. He’s done the work before and after games, gifting fellow players and eager fans with signed pairs of his signature Nike kicks without incident. At least, until now.
Apparently, during the Lakers exit interviews today, Nick Young was among the many people lined up with a pair of sneakers for Kobe to sign, and naturally, as an Adidas athlete, Young had some Adidas kicks for the Mamba to grace with his signature.
The Mamba wasn’t having it.
Lakers reporter Shahan Ahmed, who was covering the exit interviews today, said that Kobe took Young’s Adidas sneakers, threw them in the trash, and told Young to go find some Nike shoes to get blessed with a signature.
Nick Young said there was a line of players asking for autographs last night…Kobe threw Nick’s Adidas in the trash. Kobe signed Nike’s.

If that isn’t classic Kobe, we don’t know what is.
