Steph Curry may be the best shooter in the league, leading the Golden State Warriors to the most wins in NBA history; however, even he could manage a few pointers from the President of the United States.
According to Daily Mail, the White House has released a lovely video featuring President Obama and Curry spending quality time together. The video shows Obama assisting Curry with his resume, schooling the pro baller in Connect Four as well as providing a few tips on how to improve his jump shot.
While Curry has been able to win 73 games in the regular season, he didn’t stand a chance against Obama in a game of Connect Four. To celebrate his win, the president made sure to mimic Curry’s victory dance, raising his hands and jumping up and down in a circle.
Although Obama has previously called the NBA MVP the best shooter he’s ever seen, he still provided a few tips on his jump-shot. He suggests, “have your elbow in a little bit” and to make sure the ball is on his fingertips during the release.
The Mentorship, which aired on ABC’s NBA countdown prior to the Warriors playoff opener against the Houston Rockets on Saturday [April 16] was motivated by My Brother’s Keeper, reports Daily Mail.
Obama launched the initiative in 2014 to address the opportunity gaps that men and young boys of color face in America.
“You don’t need all the time in the world or all the answers to be the mentor someone needs,” a voice states at the end of the touching video. “And you don’t need to be an NBA star or the President of the United States to be someone’s hero.”
