Despite the emergence of Stephen Curry and Russell Westbrook over the last couple of years, it should be noted that Chris Paul is still one of the best point guards and players in the NBA. The Clippers had yet another stellar season, led by CP3’s dominant play, which helped keep Doc Rivers‘ boys pushing forward during Blake Griffin’s extended absence, and the loss of Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith.
Last night, CP3 faced off against Damian Lillard, easily one of the best PG’s in the league in his own right, and during the Clips blowout victory over Lillard’s surprisingly good Trailblazers, CP3 took it upon himself to remind Lillard who the boss is in that particular match-up.
In the clip above, watch Paul let Lillard know he’s going to shoot the J in his face, wait for the perfect time, shoot the J in Lillard’s face, then stare him down after.
Lillard’s a fierce competitor, and likely won’t let this one fall by the wayside. Let’s see if he retaliates during Game 2 of their opening round series, which goes down Wednesday night.
