Jared Fogle, former face and body of Subway, and current jailed sandwich-making pedophile, was sentenced to 15.6 years jail time, which is harsher than the maximum recommended sentence (12.5 years) in his plea deal.
Fogle is asking for an appeals court to throw out his current sentence, but legal documents were submitted in support of his current deal.
Major points against Fogle in the appeal come in the form of some disturbing text messages to a woman who seems to have organized minors for Fogle’s sexual desires.
One text reads, “Is your Asian friend available?” The woman responds with, “Are you going to pay me too, or can I come back?” Fogle answers, “I’ll pay you big for a 14 or 15-year-old.”
Fogle and the woman work to determine a price, with Fogle saying he’ll pay $400 for girls under 16. The woman asks why he’s looking for girls that young, and he replies, “’Cause it’s what I crave.”
