According to a report by ABC7 Entertainment in Los Angeles, former pro wrestler Chyna was found dead at her Redondo Beach Home earlier today [Wednesday, April 20]. Manager George Pennacchio took to Twitter to break the sad news.
Born Joan Laurer, Chyna catapulted to the top of the wrestling world in the late ’90s as a member of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). After losing the title to Chris Jericho, she started to fade away into obscurity as her wrestling career began a rapid downward spiral. Much of it stemmed from the dissolution of her relationship with longtime boyfriend Levesque, who left her in 2000 for his on-screen wife Stephanie McMahon.
No details are available yet on how she passed away, although there is speculation drugs were involved.
