Our favorite mixtape era Brooklyn born King, Fabolous, dropped off a very small package of heat via Instagram yesterday [Monday, April 25]. Right on time with Desiigner’s hit single “Panda” reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Fabolous leaves us with three short Instagram clips of him freestyling over the sample.
In good ol’ NBA playoff fashion, we heard Fab spit daggers like, “It’s playoff time for the D-boys. I get love like the Cavs n***a. I went ‘Indie’ on a rap tour. O-K-C, do the math n***a. On the Grizz(l)y like I’m a Spur’ … ‘Talkin’ hooks cause we really selled it (Celtic), talking birds cause we really dealt it! Got the Rockets for the Warriors’ … ‘Would’ve gotcha if we wanted ya. Pull the Heat and blow the Hornets up!”
Fab’s wordplay is insane as always, mentioning every first round match up currently going on right now. Even Pusha T had to drop in the comments to salute Fab and solidify the fire. With Fab just recently dropping the “Black Mamba” freestyle in honor of Kobe Bryant’s retirement, we can’t help but have withdrawals from the #FridayNightFreestyles series Fab blessed us with last summer. We know for sure we can expect the Freddy vs Jason collaboration mixtape with Jadakiss sometime soon. But, hopefully even more freestyles from the freestyle King as we approach the summer months.
