After Sunday’s Game 4 slaughter of the Houston Rockets, despite the abrupt departure of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green got into one last battle. A reporter, who himself didn’t appear to know exactly what he was trying to ask, lobbed a bewildering series of questions to Draymond Green about the correlation between Warriors victories, and floods in Houston. It was a question he’d apparently asked Green before to no avail, and one that Green was not happy to be fielding again. The Warriors forward ripped the reporter, reminding him that people were “losing their lives” in those floods, and sternly requested that the reporter not ask that question ever again.

He reportedly won’t ever get the chance. Bay Area reporter Henry Wofford revealed on Twitter that the reporter in question was a rookie writer for a Chinese publication, based in Houston, and was fired promptly after that debacle of a press conference. The language barrier may have played a role in the reporter and Green’s awkward exchange, but that clearly didn’t stop him from getting canned.

Game 5 of this bizarre series is tonight in Golden State.
