Drake has been dominating headlines since the release of Views this past week.  After gaining his first number one with “One Dance” (a remake of the Crazy Counsinz funky house hit) the Canadian rapper has now broken Adele‘s record for most single streams in a week in the UK.

Adele, who’s currently on a world tour, previously held the record of receiving 7.32 million streams in a week for her single “Hello.” She’s now been dethroned by the rapper who claimed the top spot with 7.8 million streams in seven days, according to Chart News.

In less than a week since its release, Views has already sold over 600,00 copies on iTunes in its first 24 hours, as well as “One Dance” grabbing the number one spot on the Canadian Billboard Hot 100. This has overtaken Drake’s first week sales of If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late and Nothing Was The Same.
