The New York rapper, known best for hits like “Ain’t Worried About Nothin” and “Pop That,” and also being a ubiquitous commercial radio mainstay, has inked a deal with the newly-formed Bad Boy Entertainment partnership, joining forces with Bad Boy founder Puff Daddy and Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid.

It’s a move many saw coming, especially considering Puff made the move to bring Bad Boy under the Epic umbrella earlier this year, where he’ll be releasing his hotly-coveted No Way Out 2 album, under the Puff Daddy and the Family moniker. Previously, Montana was signed to Interscope Records, but after releasing his debut album, Excuse My French, in 2013, Montana’s output was comprised mainly of features and mixtapes, while his sophomore LP, Mac & Cheese 4, has suffered nearly 2 years of delays.

To celebrate the news, French also released the official music video for “Figure It Out,” the Kanye West and Nas collaboration from his Wave Gods mixtape, his February mixtape. The song will be officially released to digital retailers and streaming services today, and the video is directed by frequent collaborator Eif Rivera.

In a press release, Puff Daddy says that French is a “proven hit-maker,” and that quality will certainly be put to the test as a key member of an Epic Records roster that has been revamped in the last three years.
