Jordan “Pretty Boy” Parsons was well on his way to becoming one of the top stars in the world of Mixed Martial Arts but all of that came to a screeching halt this past Sunday when the 25-year-old was struck by a vehicle while walking home from the gym. Police say they are currently unsure who had the right of way, but they are actively looking for the driver, who fled the scene. They are now searching for a silver 2012 or 2013 Ranger Rover with damage to it’s left side. A damaged sideview mirror was found at the scene.

Parsons was rushed to the hospital and doctors amputated his leg in an attempt to save his life but unfortunately, he passed away from his injuries a few days later on Wednesday May 4th. In a statement received directly from Bellator MMA, the President of the organization Scott Coker issued a statement on Parsons.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a dear member of the Bellator family, Jordan Parsons. Jordan was an exceptional athlete and a rising star in the sport. But more importantly, he was an exceptional young man. Jordan was hard-working, dedicated, intelligent, and a pleasure to be around. He represented all the reasons we love this sport. It is a terribly tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and teammates.”

According to Broward County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Dani Moschella, identifying the driver is the key to solving the case.

Dani Moschella:

“We are missing the crucial puzzle piece of finding the driver. Right now, we don’t know exactly what happened that led to the crash. We urge the driver to contact us to give us his or her side of the story.”

Anyone who might have information in regards to the accident is urged to call Officer Dan Cramer at 561-243-7800. A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest.
