French Montana and Drake have both had a pretty eventful last two weeks. Drake released his Views album on April 29, moved 1 million equivalent album units a week later, and notched his first-ever solo #1 hit a few days after that. French Montana officially announced his partnership with Bad Boy Entertainment and Epic Records last week, and finally dropped the video for “Figure It Out,” his Wave Gods collaboration with Kanye West and Nas. With all this buzz surrounding French right now–not to mention his performances with the Bad Boy Family at the Barclays Center later this month–it would be hard to believe that he isn’t hard at work on his sophomore LP, the Mac & Cheese album.

Like his debut, Excuse My French, Mac & Cheese might feature Drizzy. French and Drake were spotted in a studio in Weehawken, New Jersey last night, and though details on the studio session weren’t included, it’s likely they were putting together a new jam for French’s album. As we mentioned, the two have worked together in the past, and the result was the biggest hit of Montana’s career, “Pop That,” which also featured Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.

The alternative theory here is that Drake will feature French on upcoming new music. Despite the ubiquity of Views, Drizzy admitted to Zane Lowe during an interview on Beats1 that he had several records that he would be putting out this summer, which has become tradition for the Toronto native.
