Azealia Banks has found herself caught up in another social media firestorm earlier this week when she unloaded an onslaught of offensive tweets toward former One Direction member Zayn Malik. Using racial slurs throughout her tirade, people from across the globe voiced their displeasure with the rappers choice of words. Things carried on when Banks aimed her crosshairs at 14-year-old Disney star Skai Jackson, which resulted in Jackson retorting with some well timed barbs of her own. When confronted by fans of both stars, namely those in the UK, Banks then doubled down on the UK Hip Hop scene as a whole.
Ultimately, the Harlem rapper was dropped form the upcoming UK Festival. Today though, Banks’ twitter account has been suspended altogether. This is presumably due to her offensive tweets, which is a direct violation of Twitter’s guidelines. Upon visiting her Twitter page, you will be prompted with a message that reads: “The account you’re trying to view has been suspended.” Not a stranger to Twitter beef, she has feuded with several Hip Hop notables on the social media platform since the start of her career, she deleted her account earlier this year, but later returned.
