Ryan Coogler is set to direct the film, after directing Creed in 2015, and Chadwick Boseman, who starred as Jackie Robinson in 42 and James Brown in Get On Up, will be playing the Black Panther, after making his debut as the character in the recent blockbuster film Captain America: Civil War.

Nyong’o’s character has not been confirmed yet, but she will most likely play Black Panther’s love interest. In the comics, Black Panther has a relationship with a soul singer named Monica Lynne, and was also briefly married to Storm, from the X-Men.
