The song features Marsha Ambrosius, who actually recorded the track in Denver, Colorado with Aftermath extended family producer/rapper Sp Double.

“I got a call from Focus [Aftermath producer] telling me Marsha was in Colorado on tour and needed to record some vocals for the new single with a deadline attached,” Sp Double said. “And when the doctor calls, you deliver.”

Sp originally met Dr. Dre in Atlanta, “I met Dre for the first time when my mentor Focus invited me out to L.A. to be a part of the Compton sessions,” he explains. Obviously you have to be good at what you do for Aftermath to commission you to be involved with their projects.

T.I. struck a deal with Roc Nation to release his next project on Tidal.

“Equity and ownership is always good in my opinion, man,” T.I. told DJ Whoo Kid. “That’s the infrastructure in place right now to really give the power of the artistry back to the people to cultivate the culture and the talent. And they spending money like Def Jam in the ’90s, you know?”
