The controversial sports analyst an outspoken Spurs fan did his daily tango on First Take this morning without Stephen A. Smith, an instead sat across Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe to tussle on the day’s hot button sports topics.
Unfortunately for a dismayed Skip Bayless, the only hot button Shannon Sharpe was interested in during a particular segment of the show was the camera on his phone. In the above video clip, you can see Sharpe pretty much stop Bayless in his verbal tracks just to get that selfie off at around t he 7:45 mark. Absolutely hilarious.
This incident notwithstanding, don’t mistake Sharpe for a babbling, selfie-taking clown. On the field, Sharpe was always one of the most feared offensive players in the game in his prime, and used a bruising style of play some NFL teams struggle to find in younger players.
As for Skip Bayless, this won’t bother him one bit. The 64-year-old professional arguer signed a deal to join Fox Sports that will pay him $5.5 million annually. Snapchat that.
