Super Bowl 51 has already made history, with CNN Money reporting this event will be the first time tickets will be available in June, eight months prior to the game.

Today [Tuesday, May 24] in Charlotte, North Carolina, various NFL team owners met and approved this new deal.

“Roughly 9,500 early-access tickets will be available as part of packages offered by On Location, according to the NFL,” CNN Money reports.

There will be roughly 6,000 additional tickets and this is how it’ll work: “The additional tickets on location will get will come out of the pool of tickets that’s allocated every year to NFL teams. The two teams in the Super Bowl get the biggest percentage of available seats, followed by the host city and the other 29 teams. The NFL also keeps a percentage,” according to CNN Money.

The NFL has announced the next three sites for Super Bowls 2019, 2020, and 2021 that include Atlanta, South Florida, and for the first time in almost 30 years, Los Angeles.

This upcoming year Houston, Texas will host Super Bowl 51 on February 5, 2017.
