On the heels of the 25th anniversary of De La Soul‘s 1991 classic, De La Soul is Dead, Posdnuos, Dave and Maseo have dropped the new single, “Pain,” off their long awaited, forthcoming album, And the Anonymous Nobody.
Featuring a generous verse from Snoop Dogg, “Pain” retains the classic De La sound with smooth, jazz undertones and seemingly effortless verses from the Long Island trio. It’s almost like being transported back in time to the late ’80s/early ’90s, when De La Soul was beginning to carve out its own lane in Hip Hop culture.
