Amber Heard is reportedly heading back to the courts, following her domestic violence lawsuit against Johnny Depp. The actress is suing Depp’s comedian comrade, Doug Stanhope, who accused her of blackmailing Depp.
According to Page Six, Stanhope published a column on TheWrap.com titled, “Johnny Depp Is Being Blackmailed by Amber Heard – Here’s How I Know.” Heard filed a lawsuit against the comic in Arizona court.
The article claims Depp told Stanhope his estranged wife had planned to leave him and threatened to lie about him publicly if he didn’t agree to her terms. He wrote, “Blackmail is what I would imagine other people might put it, including the manner in which he is now being vilified.”
In the suit, Heard reiterates the domestic violence claims and calls Depp “an alcoholic and a drug addict.” In addition, the actress said Depp and his team tried to discredit her accusations.
If Heard wins the case, she plans to donate the money to a battered women’s shelter in Arizona.
