According to People Mag, Bobby Brown sat down for an emotional interview with ABC News’ Robin Roberts to discuss how his life has been since the death of his ex-wife and daughter. He says, “We could have been better, we should have been better.” Brown also stated he feels as though he and Whitney Houston failed at raising their daughter.

Bobbi Kristina was found in the bathtub unresponsive in her Georgia home last January. Later that year, in June 2015, she passed away after a long medical battle. The Fulton County Medical Examiner confirmed she died from a mix drowning and drug intoxication: marijuana, alcohol, a cocaine like substance, morphine, and anti-anxiety medications were found in her system.

Just four years before, her mother, the late Whitney Houston died under similar circumstances. Brown admits, “It’s not a mystery to me. The same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney.”

Someone else who has been a mysterious player in this situation is Bobbi Kristina’s alleged husband, Nick Gordon, blamed for a possible hand in her downfall. Although Gordon’s been cleared by law officials of any allegations of having anything to do with her death, Brown feels otherwise. “He knows what happened,” Brown says. “I don’t know what happened that night. But he does.” Houston unofficially adopted Gordon when he was 12 years old and looked after him as her own. Gordon and Bobbi Kristina were extremely close friends before they took things to the next level.

Brown says, “The last thing I told her, I just said, ‘Let go.’ I said, ‘It’s OK, you can go with your mom, daddy’ll be all right. I love you. You can rest now,'” Brown said. “Hardest thing I had to do in my life was tell my daughter to let go…. I don’t wish that on my worst enemy or any enemy. That is the worst pain in the world.”

The candid interview is set to air tomorrow [Tuesday, June 7] on ABC June at 10pm ET.
