It is that time of the year again, when the NFL Network rolls out their Top 100 players list. According to the network, the list is compiled from surveys given to NFL players, so essentially, the players make the list. With any list, it is common for people to be unhappy with their ranking. One such person is San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman. Landing at number 61 on this year’s list, he was totally unfiltered when speaking with the San Jose Mercury News during a 49ers minicamp practice.

“It’s totally bogus. I’m sure I’ll be (better) than 61 if the players really vote on it. The NFL 100, they can keep doing what they’re doing, but it’s not accurate at all.”

He went on to question the voting process.

“I’ve never seen any player or heard any player say they’ve voted for the Top 100. I remember I had something to do and couldn’t do an interview for it, so maybe that’s why they put me at 61.”

In a tweet retrieved by For The Win, Bowman’s teammates can be seen filling out the questionnaire for this year’s list. Touché.
