Having played his entire 10 year career with the Atlanta Falcons, wide receiver Roddy White was released by the franchise this past March. The 34-year-old is no rush to get back on the field though, as he recently told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he only wants to play for a team that is a contender for the Super Bowl, if not, he is perfectly fine with retiring.

According White, he has had several teams reach out to him since he hit free agency but they were not contenders, saying that there are “maybe six teams” that meet his criteria. The former Pro Bowler is the Falcons’ all-time leader in receiving yards with 10,863. He is currently training 4 times a week in Atlanta so he can remain in football shape but he did make sure to say that he would like to take some more personal time before possibly joining another team sharing: “I’ve got the kid obligations for the summer and vacations I have to do.
