The Apollo Theater’s Spring Gala will be held tonight [Monday, June 13] in New York City celebrating the legacy of the theater with a star-studded concert. This year’s gala will honor Prince Rogers Nelson and induct him into the Apollo Theater Walk of Fame.
Back in 2009, Prince appeared at the 75th Spring Gala to help induct artists into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame. Tonight will be Prince’s night to shine, as he will be added to the Apollo’s Walk of Fame on 125th Street next to famed artists Smokey Robinson, Patti Labelle, Little Richard, and Gladys Knight and the Pips.
LL Cool J will host the evening, which features performances by The O’Jays, Leon Bridges, Andra Day, Raheem De’Vaughn, Meli’sa Morgan and more.
