His gradual rise to stardom started with his track “Goosebumps,” a serious street anthem in Toronto a few summers back. This lead to him releasing a collaborative track with Key! labelled “Insidious” that heated up the blogs. A few months back, TRIPSIXX came back even harder with a five-track EP titled We Own The Night that made an even bigger impact. With no features on the tape, the rapper delivered each track with a sing/rap style with just enough lyrical content. Overall, it was a well balanced EP that had music enthusiasts and critics looking into his resume.

Now out to claim his spot with his brand new heater called “Y-3” featuring OVO’s protégé Roy Wood$ which isn’t the first time these two Canadians have come together.

Roy Wood$ made a lot of noise over the weekend—he not only announced when his debut project will be dropping prior to the latest episode of OVO Sound Radio, he also released a few tracks during the episode.

Roy provides an aggressive hook over dark production from FrancisGotHeat, setting the tone for TRIPSIXX to come in and kill the track.
