However, the 27-year old has worked with some of the biggest names in the game already, being hailed as the musical secret behind JAY Z and Beyoncé, as well as collaborating with Mary J. Blige, Aloe Blacc and Wretch 32 to name just a few.

Brown, who shares his name with the relatively famous 80s Tennessee middleweight boxer, was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica before settling in the UK at the tender age of 12. Since then he has perfected his passion and penchant for music, in particular Jazz, Dub, Soul and Hip Hop and has released a steady stream of innovative and refreshing music in a city already brewing with talent.

This year however, will see the arrival of his debut EP in the form of the allusive Searching, which almost promises to be a massive success due to the ability and originality in Brown’s possession. The first single from that EP has already reached the airwaves, the masterful “No Slaves” featuring the superstar Anderson .Paak. The song combines the glorious gospel elements of his upbringing with the raw, tenacious lyrical delivery which has been perfected over the years working with the pioneers of his generation. The fact Paak adds abundance to the track but doesn’t steal it just highlights the pure skill Brown has in his locker.

The EP is expected to be released early August and will also feature the ever-relevant Chicago Kid as well as the poetic prophet of London, Kojey Radical. Big things are expected for this potential megastar of alternative Hip Hop.
