Today [June 16, 2016] Tupac Shakur would have been 45 years old, and with his passing in September of 1996 came a legacy that’s far from being forgotten.
Lately, it would seem it’s become a rite of passage for all cultural legends to have their stories immortalized through film, and the unapologetic and unreserved rapper is no exception to the claim.
As Oakland, California declares today and every other 16th of June that follows to be “Tupac Shakur Day,” the masses are also fittingly treated to the teaser trailer for the late rapper’s long-awaited All Eyez On Me biopic.
Delivered via an Instagram post on Big Boy’s Neighborhood’s page, we’re offered a first look at the finished project of the film that’s certainly jumped a few hurdles, including a number of lawsuits and changes in directors, before getting here.
Directed by Benny Boom, and starring Demetrius Shipp as Tupac Shakur, the film is set to hit theaters on November 11, 2016.
